1. About these terms

These terms apply to all classes and courses offered by Enjoying Spanish, the online Spanish school run by Ana María {full name} from Medellín, Colombia (“Ana María”). By booking a class or buying a package, you agree to them. If anything isn't clear, just ask on WhatsApp before you pay — there's always a human on the other side.

2. Programs & classes

• Personalized tutoring: one-on-one live classes of 45 minutes.
• Group classes: small live groups, 45-minute classes. Groups open based on demand and level.
• Hybrid course: self-paced video lessons, a level book in PDF and 2 live 45-minute sessions per month.
• All live classes take place online through {video platform}, on the date and time agreed in advance. Ana María is in Medellín, Colombia (GMT-5); schedules are always confirmed in your own time zone.

3. Payments

• Payment is made in advance, before your classes begin.
• Payments must match the exact price of one of the available packages (5, 10 or 20 hours) or courses. Amounts in between packages can't be applied — you'll be asked to complete the difference, or the payment will be returned.
• If a class is booked but the payment isn't confirmed before it starts, the class will be cancelled.
• Available methods: PayPal, Revolut and international bank transfer. Prices are in US dollars (USD). Transfer and currency fees are covered by the sender, so the amount received matches the package price.
• Prices may change over time, but packages you've already paid for keep the price you paid.

4. Packages: validity & pauses

• Class packages are personal and non-transferable.
• Start: your first class must take place within 1 month of your payment.
• Continuity: once you start, your package is valid for 2 months. Learning works best with a regular rhythm, so please keep your classes going.
• Pause: life happens — travel, work, health. You can pause your package once, for up to 3 months, by letting Ana María know before the pause starts. The validity of your package is extended by the length of the pause.
• When the validity period (plus any pause) ends, the remaining hours expire and a new package is needed to continue. Expired packages can't be reactivated.

5. Punctuality & attendance

• Classes last 45 minutes and start at the scheduled time.
• Ana María will wait up to 10 minutes. After 10 minutes without notice, the class counts as taken.
• If you arrive late, the late minutes are not made up — the class still ends at its scheduled time.
• If a connection problem is on your side, the lost time can't be recovered. If it's on Ana María's side, the time will be made up or the class rescheduled at no cost.
• Please join from a quiet place, with a stable internet connection, camera and microphone — and dressed as you would for any in-person class or meeting.

6. Cancellations & rescheduling

• You can cancel or reschedule any class free of charge with at least 24 hours' notice, via WhatsApp or email.
• Cancellations with less than 24 hours' notice, or no-shows, count as a taken class, since that time was reserved for you.
• If Ana María ever needs to cancel or reschedule, you'll be informed as early as possible and the class is never deducted.
• Group classes: since the group goes ahead as planned, a missed group class can't be made up individually. If a group doesn't reach the minimum number of students, you'll be offered another group, a different format or a full refund.

7. Hybrid course

• Each chapter is available for up to 3 months. The next chapter unlocks when you complete the previous one.
• The 2 monthly live sessions are scheduled in advance. Sessions not used within the month don't carry over to the next one.
• Your access to the platform is personal — please don't share your login.

8. Materials & recordings

• All materials (level books, videos, exercises and games) are created by Ana María and included in your classes. They are protected by copyright and are for your personal use only — they may not be shared, resold or published.
• Classes are not recorded unless both of you agree. Please don't record a class without Ana María's permission.

9. Your rights as a student

• To be treated with respect, patience and kindness — mistakes are part of learning.
• To have classes adapted to your level, goals and interests.
• To suggest topics, materials or activities you'd like to work on in class.
• To receive periodic evaluations of your progress, with honest feedback on your strengths and what to improve — and to ask for one at any time.
• To give your own feedback about the classes. It's always welcome.
• To know at any time how many hours you have left in your package.
• To receive a certificate and a personal progress report when you complete a level.
• To have your personal data protected, as described in our Privacy Policy.

10. Respect goes both ways

Classes are a safe, warm space, and that depends on both sides. Please communicate respectfully and kindly — in class, on WhatsApp and by email. Ana María reserves the right to end the classes in case of disrespectful, discriminatory or inappropriate behavior.

11. Refunds & right of withdrawal

• Since you buy remotely, you can withdraw from your purchase within 5 business days after payment, as long as you haven't taken any class, and receive a full refund (Colombian Consumer Protection Law, Ley 1480 de 2011, art. 47).
• Once your classes have started, taken hours are not refundable, and unused hours are not refundable either — except if Ana María can't continue providing the classes, in which case unused hours will be refunded.
• Refunds are made through the same payment method. Transfer fees may be deducted.

12. Certificates

When you complete a level, you receive a certificate of completion issued by Enjoying Spanish, together with a personal progress report. This certificate recognizes your work in the course; it is not an official language exam certificate (such as DELE or SIELE). If you'd like to prepare for an official exam, Ana María can guide you.

13. Students under 18

Students under 18 can take classes with the consent of a parent or legal guardian, who purchases the package and accepts these terms on their behalf.

14. Responsibility

Ana María prepares and teaches every class with care and professional training. Since progress also depends on each student's practice and dedication, specific results (such as reaching a certain level by a certain date) can't be guaranteed.

15. Changes & applicable law

These terms may be updated from time to time; the current version is always published on this page, and changes never affect packages already purchased. These terms are governed by the laws of Colombia, without limiting any consumer rights you may have in your country of residence.
